What are the possible sizes of the interactive screen?

The screen of beMerlin exists in sizes between 30'' (600 x 450mm) and 100'' (2000 x 1500mm). The optimal size and technology of the screen depends on many factors. Our team will be happy to help you find the size of the screen that perfectly fits your needs, do not hesitate to contact us.

What is the minimum space needed in the shopping window (between the beamer and the screen)?

The space depends on the size of the interactive screen, on the type and size of the beamer, and on the type of projection (direct or with a mirror). For more information please contact us.

Is it possible to install the whole technology behind a shopping window, even the hands tracking system?

Yes, the whole technology can be safely installed behind a window glass. The tracking system works even through protected and thick windows.

Can different screens, for example an LCD, be used?

Any type of screen can be used. If you already have a screen, you do not need to purchase a new one.

However, note that the quality of the image depends on the chosen screen. The holographic screens that we chose for beMerlin are the best for high quality animations on shopping windows and exhibitions. They are applicable in daylight, highly transparent, eye-catching and with brilliant colors.

Which program is used for the interactive animations?

The interactive animations are created using Adobe Flash Action Script 3, Processing or C++, well known to web designers and web programmers. These programs allow to create interactivity by manipulating vector and bitmap graphics, and supporting streaming of audio and video.

Who can create the interactive animations?

Thanks to Atracsys' intuitive beMerlin SDK (System Development Kit) and beMerlin simulator, any web designer or web programmer is able to create the animations.

Of course, the Atracsys team would be happy to design a custom tailored content for you.

How many persons can interact with the screen at the same time?

The number of interacting persons is only limited by the space in front of the screen!

Is it possible to interact with both hands at the same time?

Yes, depending on the Flash animation, it is possible to interact with both hands.

What about shopping windows exposed at high quantity of sun light?

The system is working when exposed in sunlight. Some perturbations may occur when the sun directly reflects inside the hand movement cameras.
